EN-45000 Information Management for Laboratories
GesTEL is an information environment designed for the automation of
the administration procedures defined in the Quality Manual of type
approval test laboratories in accordance to EN-45000 normative. It considers
the procedures for customer correspondence register, economic proposal generation,
test samples handling, test dossier management, instrumentation calibration
control and invoicing. The functions performed by the system can be configured
according to the job description and responsabilities of each one of the
different users involved in the test dossier process. It provides access and
execution control, dynamic partitioning of applications and remote networked
connections by means of LAN-WAN integration.
GesTEL is based upon the following technologies:
Full object oriented designed to consider dynamic system configuration
depending on the specific tasks to be performed by different user groups.

Based on 2nd generation of client-server technology to optimize the
performance of the data base system.
- Connectivity to well known office
PC applications by using ODBC drivers.
- UNIX and
MS-WINDOWS environments supported.
GesTEL is currently being used by the Certification Laboratory of the Secretaria
de Telecomunicaciones (Science & Technology Spanish Ministry).
