EN-45000 Information Management for Laboratories

GesLAB is a technical and administrative managerial environment specially designed for conformance testing laboratories that follow EN-45000 regulations. This information processing and management system considers all the procedures and workflows related to test dossiers of samples under the certification of conformance process.

GesLAB provides a centralized mechanism for information processing at departamental level for the whole laboratory. It offers the procedures for information exchange between test systems from different vendors (automated, semi-automated or manual) and the centralized system by using the data acquisition sheet concept. This link is established by means of LAN (Ethernet - TCP/IP) , graphics and text files in a variety of formats (ascii, wordperfect, xwd, tiff, hpgl, wpg, etc) , scanner control and keyboard, depending upon the automation degree of the test system in particular. GesLAB provides to the laboratory an advanced relational data bases system to centralize the storage, access and processing of both kinds of information, technical and administrative. The on-line data base is completed with a high volume optical mass storage system.

GesLAB helps the laboratory manager in supervising and tracking the evolution of the test dossiers: work order, tests achievements, validation and supervision of test results. It provides as well a completely automated test report generator which follows the standard defined by ISO-IEC 9646-5.
